Hedera price breakout imminent? key technicals and ETF speculation fuel optimism

- HBAR forms bullish falling wedge; breakout could push price near $0.592
- Institutional interest rises, with potential ETF and SWIFT partnerships in focus
- April 2025 forecasts suggest a 33.7% ROI, with strong long-term upside
Hedera (HBAR) is steadily climbing, currently trading at $0.1749, reflecting a 1.74% increase over the past 24 hours. The token also posted a 7.58% gain over the last seven days, signaling renewed investor confidence. The digital asset, known for its enterprise-grade public network, is now showcasing a key technical pattern, a falling wedge, which typically signals a bullish reversal.
According to analysis from Rose Premium Signal, HBAR has bounced off a robust demand zone while shaping this wedge. Rose highlights three bullish targets upon breakout: $0.356, $0.495, and a potential peak at $0.592, depending on momentum strength. The wedge formation is seen as a critical setup, suggesting that traders are closely watching for confirmation of a breakout.
Meanwhile, analyst CW notes that HBAR is rebounding off the 0.236 Fibonacci retracement line and is now challenging resistance at the 0.382 level. A break above that resistance, as well as the downtrend line, could unlock the way to the 1.618 Fibonacci level, an important extension of the rally.
Historically, Hedera has demonstrated high rebound potential. In Q4 2024, HBAR spiked 850%, hitting highs briefly before correcting to lows of $0.04. Regardless, it recovered stunningly to the point of $0.37, highlighting the projects volatility and strength. Such volatility is in line with ongoing bullishness for an imminent breakout.
Hedera DeFi TVL jumps 132% on saucerSwap
In addition to technicals, Hedera is seeing strong growth throughout its network. Metrics on DeFi for the project are rising rapidly, with SaucerSwap TVL at $121.7 million, an increase of 132%. Its weekly volumes on DEX have topped $132 million, signaling higher usage and liquidity on the network.
One development to keep an eye on is the potential approval of an HBAR spot ETF. Grayscale submitted an HBAR ETF filing to the U.S. SEC for listing on Nasdaq. This one could bring more than $40 million in institutional money if it is approved. In contrast to most other filings, this one has not been delayed, indicating that theres perhaps clarity from regulators. Being alone as an IMF-registered blockchain, not to mention one thats in production, puts it in an entirely unique situation to bring in institutional partners.
HBAR price forecast 2025 and ROI potential
As per Changellys forecasts, HBAR in 2025 is estimated to have an average price point of $0.2351, ranging to highs of $0.2586 and lows of $0.2282, representing an estimated 47% ROI. As for April 2025 alone, prices are estimated to range between $0.1728 and $0.2351.
Analysts still hold hope, particularly with SWIFT, the worlds largest financial messaging firm, soon to adopt Hederas tech in 2025. SWIFTs 11,000 or more connected institutions could catapult HBAR to wider adoption, putting it on track for continued growth.
