Brady’s Top Five Stories of 2021

As 2021 comes to a close, I’d like to recap the top five stories that I covered from this year.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays everybody! I hope you all are enjoying your time off work and the crypto markets. Since joining CryptosRus in November, I’ve covered a lot of different stories and cryptocurrencies. In this list, I’d like to take a step back from the news to look at my own top five stories that I particularly enjoyed covering.

SundaeSwap DEX Processes First Transaction: Is Cardano About To Surge?

To start off, the first article on my list is actually the first article I ever wrote for CryptosRus. I covered the highly-anticipated Cardano decentralized exchange (DEX) SundaeSwap. Cardano (ADA) investors have been eagerly waiting for Cardano decentralized fiance (DeFi) to pick up steam after smart contracts were released back in September.

I really enjoyed this piece because of the timing of it. It picked up a lot of traction off the bat as the DEX was fresh news, and CryptosRus was one of the first sources to pick up on it. Since then, the SundaeSwap testnet has gone live, and traders have been successfully transacting and swapping tokens on the Cardano blockchain.

Terra Flips Binance Smart Chain In TVL; Becomes Second Largest DeFi Network

The next article I enjoyed writing was on Terra’s recent ‘flippening’ of the Binance Smart Chain (BSC). Terra has taken the spotlight in the crypto community over the past several weeks, and I think the news that it flipped BSC in TVL speaks volumes to the strength of the Terra ecosystem and positions the project very well for the next leg of the bull run heading into 2022.

In the last seven days, Terra’s TVL ballooned a staggering 44% to over $20 billion, making it the second-largest blockchain behind Ethereum (ETH). As we head into 2022, it will be interesting to see which ecosystems pick up steam and which ones fall off, but I think Terra is in a good spot to stay ahead of the competition.

NFTs and Blockchain Gaming Could Redefine The Public Perception of Crypto, Says Terra CEO

The third post out of my top five stories is another one of my first few pieces on the site. I covered some comments made by the Terra (LUNA) founder Do Kwon in which he gives a great overview and perspective on NFTs and the blockchain gaming space.

NFTs and blockchain gaming have been the hottest sectors in crypto for all of 2021, however, their presence in the mainstream culture is still yet to be realized. In this article, I break down the key points that Kwon makes about the space and where he sees it all going in the future.

When I wrote the article, it certainly gave me a fresh perspective on NFTs, gaming, and crypto in general, so check it out if you want to read what he had to say.

Top Three Sam Bankman-Fried Moments of 2021

The fourth piece that I really enjoyed covering was on the top three Sam Bankman-Fried moments of 2021. Sam Bankman-Fried is the founder and CEO of the major crypto exchange FTX. He and his company have made massive headways in the crypto space since the beginning of the year, taking Sam from a tech geek who trades crypto to one of the youngest self-made billionaires in the world.

In this article, I break down some of my favorite and most memorable moments from him this year and finish up by recapping all the huge partnerships and sponsorships that FTX landed.

What Is The “God Candle” That Bitcoin Traders Are Waiting For?

Finally, I think my favorite article of the year has to go to my recent piece on Bitcoin ‘god candles.’ It was a fun piece to put together as I got to take a journey back in time to study Bitcoin’s old price action. In the past few months, I’ve seen an awful lot of talk on Crypto Twitter (CT) about Bitcoin’s impending god candle, so I thought I’d take the time to explain for those unfamiliar what a god candle is exactly.

Put simply, the ‘god candle’ is when BTC moons in a relatively short amount of time. In this article, I walk through some of Bitcoin’s historic daily god candles to remind people what Bitcoin can do in a 24-hour time span.

Currently, Bitcoin is trying to recover from its December drawdown, trading at $50,850. There’s no telling when the next god candle will come, but as we head into 2022, I recommend you position yourself accordingly so you don’t miss the next god candle when it comes.
