DeFi Kingdom’s Crystalvale Launch Day

At 2:00 PM EST today, the long-anticipated cross-chain collaboration between Harmony and Avalanche through DeFi Kingdom’s Crystalvale is here.

This marks an important day in crypto gaming and DeFi history, as DeFi Kingdoms is now officially a cross-chain game. The game runs on one URL, defikingdoms.com, and players/DeFi users can seamlessly travel from Serendale (the map on Harmony) to Crystalvale (the new map on an Avalanche subnet).

So far, the launch has been a complete success. It is very simple to get started either from Avalanche or Harmony (explained below), and the UI is great. The only minor issue was RPC issues on the bridge, which at the time of writing, the issues are being worked on. Reports are it’s slow, but everything is live and functional.

The reason there is so much activity is because many users are after the new token in Crystalvale, $CRYSTAL. On Crystalvale, the only way to get the new native token ($CRYSTAL; unless you got it airdropped form Serendale), is to add to the only Liquidity pool Jewel-xJewel. Thus many users are attempting to move their Jewel and/or xJewel over to Crystalvale on Avalanche.

Leading up to the launch, the price action of DeFi Kingdoms ($JEWEL) showed how excited the community was for this launch, as $JEWEL is up over 100% in the past week. The $JEWEL token will be used for gas throughout the game, and there is no doubt that the future is bright for both $JEWEL and $CRYSTAL. Overall, the developers have really made their cross-chain GameFi dreams come true, as moving across chains and bridging tokens within a single game is finally a reality.

How to Get Started From Avalanche

If you are already an Avalanche user and you want to get started using DeFi Kingdoms, first, you will need to go to the browsers game site and enter the Outpost. The outpost will act as your $AVAX on-ramp into the game (through bridging for the AVAX to DFK chain).

The Outpost also has a DEX, which can be useful in case you have to swap other assets that aren’t supported by the bridge. From there, you can click “get started”, and the Outpost leader (Snow Sage Ellia), will give you careful directions on how to proceed. It’s overall pretty easy, so give it a try!

How To Get Started If You’re A Current DFK Player

For current Defi Kingdom players in Serendale on Harmony, getting over to Crystalvale on Avalanche is a breeze. If you simply want to enter Crystalvale to check it out, just go to the docks and click on ‘Travel to Crystalvale’.

If you are interested in bridging over Jewel or xJewel tokens to Crystalvale, select ‘Bridge” and move your tokens from the Harmony chain to the Defi Kingdoms Chain (do not move them to Avalanche C-chain).
