What is Cool Cats NFT?

Cool Cats NFT is a collection of 9,999 unique Cool Cats built on the Ethereum blockchain. These cats released last July — shortly after the BAYC minted. If you can believe it, Cool Cats originally minted at .06 and lowered to .02, during minting. Fast forward seven months and their floor currently sits at 15 ETH!

During the bull run summer of NFTs last year, Cool Cats quickly became one of the blue-chip NFT must haves. They’ve shown no signs of slowing down since then and have cemented themselves among NFT collectors and enthusiasts.

Cloncast is the talented artist behind these blue cats everyone has grown to love. Including one celebrity who aped in only seven days after mint: the one and only Mike Tyson. He quickly made his announcement to his 5+ million followers and showed off his new Cool Cat.

“We like the Cats” became the official slogan early on and it seems there are many people who “like the cats“. What is there not to like, the creators quickly started giving these cats utility and built a warm welcoming community to its new members.

They closed off their summer run with a once in a life-TIME deal. In August, they were honored to announce their partnership with TIME magazine. 400 rare pieces were up for grabs for Cool Cat holders via raffle and meme contests.

Headed into the fall of 2021, most NFTs were breathing and consolidating from the last bull run. Cool Cats was doing this, but holding an impressive floor range of 6-8 ETH, respectfully.

When 2022 kicked off with major NFT sales volume, Cool Cats were one of many projects to benefit. They then announced Cool Pets, your companion to your Cool Cat, which introduced even more sales volume.

Cool Pets & $MILK

Cool Pets are a 19,999 NFT collection that are companions to Cool Cats, similar to Bored Apes Dogs. Except, these pets with be interactive and not static, like other free mints that other NFT projects have dropped. 9,999 Cool Pets are for current holders and the other 10,000 be for their allowlist (more below on this) and public mint.

You will originally mint an egg, that over time will grow based on the items you buy and how well you treat it. Each egg will have four stages; Egg, Hatching, Hatched, and Final Form. Each Cool Pet will gain one of four elements based on the items its equipped with before it hatches. Those available elements are: Water, Fire, Air, and Grass.

Advancing your egg from one stage to another will require interacting with the in-game items you purchase with your $MILK. $MILK is earned by using your Cool Pets to complete quests and will be the currency of the Cool Cats economy, not just Cool Pets.

Each Pet can complete up to 25 quests per day. Each quest will include multiple ranges of rarity, each will then have different levels of rewards attached.

How & Where To Buy?

Cool Cats will have to be bought on the secondary market like OpenSea or LooksRare. They hold a fairly high floor of 15 ETH currently and you can find their OpenSea page here.

Minting for Cool Pets starts on 1/31 for Cool Cat holders and will run for 24 hours. Then their “allowlist” —which is for their partnership communities — will run for another 24 hours.

After the allowlist is closed, the public will be able to mint the rest of Cool Pets on 2/1 for 0.5 ETH. Pets will be able to be minted directly on the Cool Cats website, here.
