EU MiCA stablecoin regulations come into effect: Law Decoded

Noncompliant stablecoin issuers could potentially exit the EU market entirely, with a shift toward euro-backed stablecoins as demand picks up in European markets.
The Internal Revenue Service did not include decentralized exchanges or self-custodial wallets under its broker reporting requirements.
The proposed issuance, now titled SEC Guidelines on the Operations of Crypto-Assets Service Providers, removes or revises several high-level policy sections from the original SEC Rules on Crypto-Assets Service Providers, in favor of highly detailed technical and compliance guidelines.
SEC said the draft crypto rules requires comments and suggestions from the public before they released the final IRR.
